An out and about week.

Saturday night I went to Judit and Gyula's Open House. They have done a great job decorating and repainting the house. Earlier in the day I met up with Zsuzsi and Attila and headed out to Nanton to do some Antique shopping.

These are the two purchases I made. I am so happy with them!

This is a piece that we saw that maybe one day I would like to duplicate.

Friday Night I met up with Zsuzsi and Attila and Zsuzsi's Mom for a great dinner at the Keg (after seeing the progress on their new home - it looks great!). I met up with Sue and Nancy/Gabor at Mom and Dads for lunch and did some shopping with Nancy and Gabor in the afternoon. A full day but a great day!

Met up with Nancy, Robb and Gabor after my dentist appointment on Thursday at the Devonian Gardens, Gabor just loves to play, crawl and wander around and through everything! He loves playing and I just love watching him play!

Wednesday night I met up with Zsuzsi at UB the Artist to do some ceramic crafts . I started a salt/pepper shaker for myself - it just needs to be fired - I'll post a finished picture when I get it back. The other piece is a gift so I'll show it when the recipient gets it (and when it is finished being fired).

Tuesday I had a great night babysitting Gabor, we had a great time together before he had to go to bed. Monday at lunch we all visited Mom and Dad for a great quick visit.

Easter Weekend

After searching on the Internet, I found the “Tap-tap Mother Hen”, you hammer the colored eggs through the holes with the wooden chick mallet, and send them rolling down and out of mother hen! I fell in love with it and decided to make one for Gábor for Easter (I think he liked it as well!).

Saturday, I met up with Sue, George, Nancy, Robb and Gábor at the Zoo, where we spent a great afternoon looking at the animals (even if it was a bit chilly out). I just love the way Gábor loves looking at everything - we even had a chance to see the new baby giraffe.

After the zoo, we headed to Mom and Dad’s for a visit and Easter dinner - which was fantastic!

And to finish off a very full day, Sue, George and I went to Doramy and Laz’s
to spend an evening playing Trivia Pursuit.
A great day all in all!

Sunday was once again our cooking day, we made a meal from Poland this time, absolutely fantastic, I’ve moved all the photos and recipes from our Sunday cook days to its own blog page New Recipes Tried, there is also a link to it under “links” to the left.

Having a great time!

We went to Butterfield Acres on the 31st for their The Great Legendary Easter Hunt, Gábor got right into the spirit of things and was hunting for the painted rocks that would become the Easter Eggs. The farm is such a great place for kids and adults to explore. I had a lot of fun.

A little deceiving with the snow around, but as spring/summer is around the corner - I finally bought my first barbeque!! I love it.

March 16th to the 24th

On the 24th Nancy, Robb and Gábor joined me downtown looking at different art galleries, I'm looking for a piece for my dining room wall. I found a few pieces I liked way out of my budget and some that were in my budget too. I had a really good time, Gábor enjoyed looking at the paintings and everyone loved the way he enjoyed looking at the different pieces - again he was a hit! I stayed for dinner at Nancy and Robb's and helped give Gábor his evening bath - he so loves his baths and splashing around.

Had Friday coffee and lunch at my house on the 16th, I had a really good time with my parents, my sisters and Gábor kept us all entertained.

I finally was able to put the top coat on the stool I made for Gábor for Christmas (really late - I know). I am happy with the way it turned out though.
