Dad's Birthday weekend

This year Nancy and Robb suggested we head to Banff and Lake Louise to celebrate Dad's Birthday. It was a fantastic idea!! On Saturday, we all met at the Caribou Lodge, had breakfast together and then headed out to Lake Louise to see part of the Winter Festival where ice sculptures are made, judged and put out on display. It is amazing the talent these sculpture artists have - the pieces are beautiful. We then went to the Keg for dinner to celebrate Dad's birthday. Mom, Dad, Sue, George and I went out on Friday too and also met for dinner. Friday it was very very windy and very cold, Saturday was beautiful out (for winter anyway), and then Sunday the wind and snow picked up again - on the ride home to Calgary, Sue, George and I even had a few white-outs along the way. The next blog entry below has some video clips from the weekend too.
