A New Year!

After a great 2 weeks off from work, spending time with family and friends and enjoying the Holidays, it was back to the grind. A very busy first week with getting some shipments ready and dealing with late deliveries, but at least the days went quickly. However, after last year concentrating so much of my time to work (and working a lot of overtime), this year I am going to try and not let work take over MY time! I haven’t set any firm New Year’s Resolutions, but there are things that I want to accomplish this year, I just don’t want to set them down in stone (as I never seem to accomplish them then).

For now, my January goal is to get organized with my time and around the house. So far I am not doing too bad, starting to make certain days allocated to organizing and keeping to it. Last Friday was such a beautiful day that I spent time cleaning out my garage after work, something I haven’t been able to do since early fall, and it looks so nice now!

Spent New Year's Eve with Zsuzsi and Attila and the Pine Area Neighbors. It was a good time and what a great bunch of people.

The next day I headed straight to Nancy and Robb's for their traditional New Year's Day Get Together, it was nice to spend the first day of the year with family and what a great feast!

On Saturday, Zsuzsi and I headed out to Market Mall for some shopping before the work week started, I got a few nice things - one of which is some fake flowers for my vase.

Sunday was relaxing at home and then out to the Airport to pick up Sue and George from their San Francisco Trip. From the pictures and videos I saw on Thursday and their stories it looks like they had an awesome time and it would be a great place to visit (someday). The rest of the week had Kati and Laci over for a visit, Saturday potluck dinner at Julie and Steve's and a pleasant Sunday afternoon with Mom and Dad at my place.

This first part of the year sure has been busy and other than fighting a dry cough/chest cold it has been fantastic! Now to find time to finish blogging about last year!

Canmore and the road home...

Stopped in at Canmore on the way home for some more shopping and walking of main street.
I had such a great time with great friends this weekend, with lots of laughs (especially the nutmeg story!), good memories and even the weather cooperated.

Thanks for a fantastic weekend!

I can't wait until we do it again next year!

Hats and Banff!

After the Boat Tour, we headed to Banff for a coffee to warm up, on the way there we saw this large fellow just off the side of the road. We then did some shopping and walking of main street (and tried on many of the fun hats), had a quick drink and nachos at the pub before we headed back to our resort for a dip in their outdoor hot tub and an evening of hanging out in our condo.

Spent the weekend with great friends in Banff and had a fantastic weekend.

We stayed in a condo suite at the Hidden Ridge Resort .

I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Banff area!
