Dad's Birthday weekend

This year Nancy and Robb suggested we head to Banff and Lake Louise to celebrate Dad's Birthday. It was a fantastic idea!! On Saturday, we all met at the Caribou Lodge, had breakfast together and then headed out to Lake Louise to see part of the Winter Festival where ice sculptures are made, judged and put out on display. It is amazing the talent these sculpture artists have - the pieces are beautiful. We then went to the Keg for dinner to celebrate Dad's birthday. Mom, Dad, Sue, George and I went out on Friday too and also met for dinner. Friday it was very very windy and very cold, Saturday was beautiful out (for winter anyway), and then Sunday the wind and snow picked up again - on the ride home to Calgary, Sue, George and I even had a few white-outs along the way. Happy Holidays!

Hoping everyone had a fantastic Christmas and is enjoying the holiday season!

It has been a really long time since my last post, and hopefully in the next few days I will update what has been happening since the beginning of October. All good things.

I have had a great last few days celebrating Christmas with family and friends and really enjoying spending time with everyone. This past Saturday I had friends and family over to celebrate Christmas at my place and followed by a night of games.

Then continued the celebrations at Nancy and Robb's on Christmas Eve and Mom and Dad's on Christmas Day. It was such a great time spending time with the family and the food was excellent everywhere. Gabor was a sweetheart and kept us all in smiles with his cute antics and he was such a great little helper.

Wishing everyone else has as good as a holiday as I am.

Sunday Visit

I had a good time on Sunday as we got together to look at some of Nancy and Robb's photos and to hear some of the stories of their trip to Europe.

A little frazzled!!!

This week has been crazy at work. Out of us 3 Buyers on the project, one was on holidays, and one was sick for 3 days this week - of course leaving me to do 3 peoples work!!!!! It has been a very hectic week so far. I'm definately looking forward to the weekend to relax!!! I'm exhausted. But on the better side of things I'm leaving for Festival in one week's time - with no costumes, with no obligations, no worries, I don't have to worry about what someone from the group forgot (costume wise), did they iron their costume, does the group look good??? I'm going to Festival as a Guest! After 21 years of dancing and worrying about details - I get to go and enjoy the Festival!

Welcome Home Nancy, Robb and Gábor!!

Today, Nancy, Robb and Gábor arrived home safe and sound from their Europe Trip 2007.

For a nice surprise, we ran into friends of the family waiting for Etaneni and Antibacsi to arrive home (they happened to be on the same flight as Nancy, Robb and Gábor).

Star Wars and More!

This past week and the few weeks before have been very busy with work, and trying to get my life back in order. I had such a good time with Dűvő and can't wait to see them again. Possibly this Thursday as they stop in Calgary on their way to Regina, if not then at this year's Festival in Regina. I can't believe that this year I may get away with packing everything in a carry-on suitcase (no costumes, etc.). Can't hardly wait! I have finally been able to catch up on blogging my summer activities and such. This weekend I spent time cleaning up at home and then Sue and George called and we decided to do a Star Wars Marathon weekend (with wine and Martini's included). It has been great to put aside work for a little while and relax. Tomorrow I go to meet Nancy, Robb and Gabor at the airport as their Europe trip has come to an end for this year.

Duvo!!!!!!

Dűvő back in Calgary!!!! Dűvő has once again visited Calgary, I attended their concert/tanchaz here in Calgary on 14-Sep-07 and had a blast (although more people attending would have been better) and again on the 15-Sep-07 for the szureti bal dinner and dance in Calgary which was a full house. This year, as Dűvő stays with Zsuzsi and Attila - there was an extra bonus as Zsuzsi and Attila had an open house at their place. They moved in around May/June of this year, and they couldn't have timed their open house for a better time. Dűvő was there for their open house and made a huge success to their party! I am so happy for Zsuzsi and Attila - their new place is so beautiful. It was so good to see people that I haven't seen for so long.
