Packed this morning, then headed to the condos right next door and looked at their model homes (3 types), these are really nice and not badly priced at $165K to $195K - except the condo fees were a bit high at $350/mth, although that covers everything, insurance, outside upkeep, pool, etc. It would be nice to own something in Palm Desert and fly down a few times throughout the year. We did however put our names in for a draw for a free condo - keep our fingers crossed that one of us will win.
After viewing the homes, it was back to the resort to enjoy some last minute time at the pool before having lunch and heading out to the airport.
I had a really good week with Mom and Dad in Palm Desert!
It was nice to get out of the cold into some sun, relax and
see some more sites - I even got a good tan started.

The pilot did tell us it was lightly snowing in Calgary, and as we started our descent into Calgary through the clouds we couldn't see anything, but once we could - the whole plane just groaned - this is what we came home to - I wanted to jump on the next plane heading somewhere warm!!

And although I didn't jump on a plane right away, on Sunday we (Sue, George and I) did book our flight to Niagara Falls! Now I just have to wait until that trip comes along....
