High River and Saskatoon Berry Farm

So, the girls met together to go exploring in High River today, among others we visited an Antique store where we had fun looking at unique items and enjoyed the ambiance of the store. We had to convince Judit that she didn't need this sofa...

We stopped in at the Whistle Stop for lunch, where I treated myself to an old fashioned root beer float, veggie sandwich, and yes I also had soup...

The Whistle Stop is next to the High River Museum where they recently had the fire, we could see part of the overhang on the back where it had burned and could still smell the fire.

On the way back, we stopped in at Saskatoon Berry Farm to look around...

Night out at Baton Rouge

We went to Baton Rouge tonight for dinner and although Steve was out of town (and missed), we all had a great time with many laughs and great food!
I had the BBQ ribs and chicken and it was fantastic!

We had entertainment too - Gyula telling stories...

And of course, we had dessert too....

and to finish off the meal we girls had Brazilians, that's Brazilian coffees :)

It was a fantastic night out!

And the fun continues....

So after breakfast, we all headed over to Sue and George's and continued the fun.

First Szalona Sutes of 2010

Thursday Night headed over to Nancy and Robb's for a Szalona Sutes with their neighbours, it was a beautiful night with great company and of course fantastic szalona, and the first of the year (for me)!

I ended up staying the night and Friday morning it was breakfast out on their patio, listening to music, dancing and playing with the children!

Headed out to Zsuzsi and Attila's today for a fire-pit gulyas (hungarian stew), decided to take a different road out to their place and really enjoyed the landscape...

Sleepover...

Gabor had invited me over for a sleep-over and this was the weekend for it. Dad went out to help out on the castle on Saturday, so later in the day I went and picked up Mom and we headed over to Nancy and Robb's.
They have done so well with play castle - it is looking great!

We had a great dinner as well...

Gabor was really cute, Dad would ask if he wanted any more to eat, Gabor would say no, and then open his mouth for some more. He had a great giggle when he realized what he was doing. Aniko was just as cute, combing Mom's hair.

We had some great chats, played, got tattoos...

The next day we headed down to the river by their place, the children practiced riding the bikes..


We threw sticks for Brahms to retrieve, explored the river's edge..

it is so nice that live so close to the river, the walks are always great..

played some more in their backyard...

First weekend at Sue and George's Homestead

Enjoyed the weekend over at Sue and George's Homestead, exploring their property, hanging up their new bird feeder, watching the birds, and relaxing under the big tree watching the sunset. What a beautiful place they have -they say they have seen deer, but I didn't see any.





We went to Millarville Market on Saturday morning, and on Sunday, we visited with Doramy and Laz, weed-whacked around their house and also tried out mowing their grass, George for the first time on the mower and Sue manually.
Who do you think will get more done?

Golf? me?

Well, this is some of the gang from work, we spent a few hours in the morning to go golfing for a team building event, it has been a very, very long time since I golfed (so no posted score here). Although the score wasn't that great, at least it was good times. It was nice to take off for a little while and get to know the co-workers a bit better. The weather cooperated beautifully and we got to spend a good morning in the sun.

Day in Okotoks

Spent a day in Okotoks with Zsuzsi for lunch and of course shopping, there was lots to see, and of course lots to buy. I did get my "Got all your marbles" ring among other things, one being this pendant...

No more bunnies in my yard..

So Dad helped me put some wiring on my gates to keep the bunnies out of my backyard and to save my plants. Hopefully it does the trick!
