Rocky Mountain Car Rally May 23 - May 25

Headed out to Chain Lakes Provincial Park to do some camping and so we could head out to Porcupine Hill to watch the Rocky Mountain Car Rally on Saturday (all day). Well the rain kept coming down and we opted not to go see the cars race (and not to freeze), but stayed out camping until Sunday anyway. In the few times it wasn't raining, we went for a few walks and I was able to get some nature shots. We did see 2 moose, a deer, many birdnests, and birds.

Long weekend.

Spent the entire long weekend pulling out weeds from my backyard, getting ready to do landscaping, put together my patio swing and transplanted a dogwood that I got from Mom and Dad. It was beautiful weather and I had a great time with Mom, Dad, Nancy, Robb and Gabor over for a bbq on Sunday. Also took a break from gardening and spent some time with friends out at Zsuzsi and Attila's place on Saturday night, didn't actually remember to take the camera out until after it got dark. But none the less, had a great time, with great friends, great food and great many laughs.

Expensive Coffee!

Went to Okotoks with Zsuzsi and Attila today for coffee and to look around, and unexpectedly found 2 new pieces for my great room - a tv stand and ottoman/coffee table (opens up for storage inside). I love them both!
Why is it I always find things when I'm not looking for them?
Just a few things left to get to finish off my great room, but it will all come in time.
Thanks Zsuzsi and Attila for all the help, I had a really good day with you guys and even got my first touch of a suntan sitting out on your beautiful deck.
